ressway toll up from today
From April 1,the Mumbai-Pune Expressway toll will go up. For cars the new rate will be Rs 165 from Rs 140. Light motor vehicles will have to pay Rs 255 as against Rs 216. For trucks it will be Rs 354,up from Rs 300,while buses will have to shell out Rs 485 instead Rs 411. ST Buses will have to pay Rs 394 as against Rs 334,while for three axle vehicles it is Rs 838 instead of Rs 710. The increase is a part of a six per cent annual increase of the toll at the Expressway. The rates will remain valid till March 2014.
PBA elections
A total of 2,999 out of 5,565 lawyers from Pune city and district voted during the Pune Bar Association elections on Thursday for the association’s executive committee of one president,two vice-presidents,two secretaries and a treasurer.
