City gets new heart care facility

Dr Suhas Hardas,cardiologist,said,“The objective of this facility is to provide comprehensive heart care to those affected with any of the heart related illnesses in the most healthy,congenial and excellent atmosphere,where such patients are directed and motivated to lead positive and normal life.”

Spread across 4000 sq feet,the centre is located in Fortune Plaza,Thube Park,Shivajinagar. It is equipped with the best in class diagnostic equipment and is aiming to become one stop heart care facility for heart patients,said a release. Apart from offering diagnostic services and consulting,the facility will have emphasis on offering specialised post procedural rehabilitation programmes,where an attempt will be made to bring the patient back to near normal productivity in the shortest possible time after undergoing the heart related procedure.

This facility will educate patients and families not only about the cardiac disorders but also about the other collateral issues like depression,nutritional correction and physical rehabilitation,which are often overlooked. Dr. Hardas said that the facility will undertake awareness drives about heart related physiological issues,early warning alarms and self management practices. It will also have a dedicated counseling department for the patients and relatives,which will be run by highly trained psychologists.

Yoga training,cooking workshops for imparting training in healthy and tasty cooking,a library of most relevant books for reading,special touch screen kiosks for unlimited knowledge on heart related aspects will be offered by ‘Hardas Heart Care’.
