Fire drill conducted at Moshi hospital

The Fire Brigade of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation on Saturday conducted a fire drill at Sainath Hospital,Moshi. The purpose of the mock fire drill was to gauge the preparedness of the staff in case of an emergency situation. PCMC Fire Brigade officer Kiran Gawde said the mock fire drill and evacuation exercise was the second one conducted in Pimpri-Chinchwad after the one at the PCMC headquarters in August.

Jnana Prabodhini School violated RTE Act

The Bombay High Court on Saturday ruled that the Jnana Prabodhini School has violated the Right to Education Act 2009 in the academic year 2013-14,and hence,from next year,no screening test should be conducted by the school. The court however said that this years admissions will not be cancelled. Meanwhile,the school has sent a proposal to the Education Minister,asking him to include it in the list of special schools that are exempted from implementing the RTE.
