First in state: gas insulated sub-station
For the first time in the state,a gas insulated sub-station will be inaugurated at Rasta Peth in Pune on August 15. In stead of overhead tower lines,the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited has laid a 7-km long cable from 220 KV Parvati sub station till Rasta Peth. Hence a majority of the load will be taken off from 512 Khadki sub-station and Mundhwa sub-station to provide uninterrupted power supply to residents,said S P Nagtilak,Chief of Pune division of MSEDCL.
