MSEDCL recovers Rs 7.6 lakh from 25 defaulters

The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has recovered Rs 7.6 lakh from 25 persons in Kondhwa,Mangalwar Peth and Camp. The Company also filed FIRs against some persons for threatening and manhandling company officials during the drive. MSEDCL had earlier taken action against 20,350 people and disconnected electricity meters. A release said after 16,574 paid arrears amounting to Rs 6.69 crore,electricity connections were restored. Cases were also lodged with Alandi police against Bhagyoday Automotive Limited —which reportedly has to pay not paid arrears of Rs 3.5 lakh arrears— personnel Satish Sharma and a few others working there for threatening and manhandling the company officials.

Chotta Rajan aide,seven accomplices arrested

The Crime Branch of Pune police on Thursday night arrested alleged Deepak Sapke (28) who has alleged links with Chhota Rajan. Seven accomplices of Sapke were also arrested when they were allegedly planning to rob a petrol pump in Hadapsar on Thursday night.
