Kayani Bakery owners son dies after car hits pole
The only son of one of the owners of the famous Kayani Bakery died after his car hit a pole near CTC Hospital in Wanawadi in the wee hours of Sunday. Aspandashar Kayani,25,was on his way home at Salisbury Park in his WagonR car,when the accident took place,police said.
PSI Bhaskar Muthe of Wanawadi police station said,The accident occurred on the road between Lullanagar and Golobar Maidan. His car went out of control and hit a pole. Kayani was driving the car and was alone at the time. Muthe added,We are yet to speak to the family which is in a state of shock.
Expect more showers in the next few days: IMD
After the seasons highest rainfall,around 81.2 mm from Saturday to Sunday morning,the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said the city will receive occasional rainfall for the next few days. However,Konkan region and Goa are expected to get heavy rainfall,IMD said. Last year,the city had received a rainfall of about 181.3 mm on October 5. Duty officer at IMD said,In the coming few days,we can expect occasional showers.”
