found dead

A second-year student of the Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education and Research,Talegaon Dabhade was found dead in his house at Swapana Nagari on Tuesday. Deputy Superintendent of Police Shrikrishna Kokate said no suicide note was found and the cause of the death of the student,Abhishek Panda,will be known after post-mortem report.

Train to Hyderabad cancelled

Due to the agitation for a separate Telangana state,the Central Railway cancelled the Mumbai-Hyderbad Express on Wednesday. The train leaves Mumbai at 12.40 pm and arrives in Pune at 4. It leaves Pune at 4.30. The train stands cancelled for Wednesday,said railway spokesperson Suhas Lohokare. The Pune-Secunderabad Express and the Hyderabad-Mumbai Hussainsagar Express were also cancelled on Tuesday.

Pimpri judge dismissed from service

Judicial Magistrate (First Class) C B Mhatre of Pimpri court has been dismissed from service by the Bombay High Court. The order was handed over by District Judge Madan Joshi to Mahatre at Pimpri court on Tuesday. Mahatre was serving at Kalyan when a complaint was lodged against him with the High Court. An investigation had begun against him even as he was transferred to Pimpri,court officials said.
