Protest against delay in starting Ernakulam train
The Pune Malayalee Federation will stage a demonstration in front of the divisional railway managers office on Monday at 10 am in protest against the delay in starting the bi-weekly Pune-Ernakulam superfast train. Federation president Rajan Nair said the train was sanctioned in the railway budget in February 2010 along with the Pune-New Delhi,Kolkata,Nagpur,Hyderabad and Jaipur trains,which have all started running. He said the federation was also planning to meet the railway authorities in Mumbai and New Delhi.
Fee hike: Rosary School parents to move SC
The Rosary School Parents Association has decided to move the Supreme Court against the Bombay High Court ruling on school fee hike. Association office-bearers said the petition was likely to filed on November 20. The High Court had,in September,ruled that private unaided schools could hike their fees on their own with no interference from the government as long as there was no profiteering.P5
Will address issues after polls: Pawar tells lawyers
Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar has promised maharashtra lawyers that he will look into their grievances,through regular meetings,after elections. pawar was in the city to inaugurate a convention of lawyers held at the Nisarga Mangal Karyalay in Marketyard.
