Deepak Fertilisers And Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd (DFPCL) has been ranked third as per ‘Total Income’ in the Chemicals sector by Dun & Bradstreet’s “India’s Top 500 Companies 2009.” Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) is a source of global business information,and profiles India’s high-performing companies. DFPCL vice chairman and managing director Sailesh Mehta said,The award is a result of the company’s unwavering commitment to deliver sustained growth through consistent performance.

Training workshops
Verve Workshops,the educational arm of Verve Communications,will hold training programmes in cultural intelligence and transition for students and corporate executives visiting abroad. A press release said this would be the first of its kind in India,where world cultural training workshops would be provided,starting with the US and Canada. The training will be imparted in one- and two-day workshops,covering all aspects of cultural differences between India and foreign countries.

Special music programme
Students of Achievement Classes,the school of music,in Pimpri will present a special musical programme on July 25 on the occasion of Guru Purnima. It will be held at the Acharya Atre auditorium at Sant Tukaramnagar in Pimpri from 5 to 8 pm. The musical group comprising youngsters will regale the audience with some popular songs. The programme has been conceptualised and coordinated by Taposh Mukherrjee,founder of Achievement Classes.

Conference on inner values
The General Practitioners Association along with Brahmakumaris,Pune,PMC and MIT will organise a conference on ‘inner values for excellence in life’. The conference which will be aimed towards people from different professions will offer an opportunity to reflect,explore and discuss about new dimensions of values in institutes and professions. The conference will cover a wide range of subjects like empowering minds to personal and professional transformation. People will also get an opportunity to learn and practise Raj Yoga,meditation techniques taught and practised by Brahmakumaris.
