18 more PMPML workers suspended
The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) suspended18 more of its workers citing various reasons such as fraud,driving under the influence of alcohol and misbehaviour. Last week,the transport body had suspended 55 workers from duty for similar reasons. PMPML staff also collected fine amounting to Rs 22,590 from 459 passengers for travelling without a ticket. The administration had also decided to appoint 308 workers in their previous departments.

Women’s Day function
THE Cavalry Grace Ministires,India,had organised a function to commerate International Women’s Day on March 8 at New Fellowship Church in Pimpri. The programme was aimed at recognising women who have made valuable contributions towards improving lives of people by running orphanages,schools for underprivileged children and working for HIV positive persons. Dr Lalita Edwards,Moly Samson and Sister Patrecia,among others,were honoured with memento and flower.

‘Safety not limited to workplace’
SENIOR vice president of Tata Motors (CVBU) SN Ambardekar on Friday said the concept of safety is not limited to the factory and workers should practice caution at home too.
He was speaking at the prize distribution ceremony of various competitions organised for Tata Motors workers,officials and their families as a part of National Safety Week at Tata Motors.
Plant head-Pune (CVBU) R Bhaskar,Ravi Shankar,senior general manager (ERC),(V Gandhi,general manager-auto production and safety champion,Prashant Ahir,general manager HR were present .
