It is Indian television,and eventually everything sober turns glamourous. Who can forget the evolution of the meek Jassi into a chicita in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi. Now it is time for another transformation. Laali,played by Ratan Rajput,undergoes a makeover in the show Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo. The cotton sarees and glass bangles have been replaced by ornate silk sarees and flashy gold jewelery. Apparently,the change is justified by a memory loss and time leap,but we think that the costume department just went bananas.
Veteran Fair
In times,when there is a deluge of new faces on television,the re-appearance of older,well known names can be a comfort to watch. Zees upcoming show,Sanjog Se Bani Sangini,will feature veteran actors Aruna Irani and Sudha Chandran. The two ladies are very excited about their roles and are gearing up for a long schedule to be shot in Haridwar and at the Pataudi Palace in Delhi. And its not just these two ladies,but also Iqbal Khan whos making a telly comeback. We hope that at least the story is fresh,and not tried and tested.
Star Pluss popular show Bidaai seems to be in a cast overhaul mode. After the death of the lead characters,Sadhna and Ranvir,the show has taken a generation leap and is signing new faces for the show. As a result,Apoorva Agnihotri recently made his entry in the show. And now Sulagna Panigrahi,who was last seen in Zee TVs Do Saheliyan,is all geared up to play the role of Sakshi. She says,My entry scene is with one of the leading characters of Bidaai,and its a very heroic entry that I make on the show which is going to be worth a watch. After all the excitement from her end,if not heroic,her entry should be at least noticeable.
