CEO arrested for stealing patented information

The Pune rural police have arrested Santosh Kamble,chief executive officer of a private firm,S Nitrides,for allegedly stealing and misusing a patented chemical process developed by his previous employer,Thermo Touch Enterprises.

The Pune rural police have arrested Santosh Kamble,chief executive officer of a private firm,S Nitrides,for allegedly stealing and misusing a patented chemical process developed by his previous employer,Thermo Touch Enterprises.

Nilesh Pendharkar,the owner of Thermo Touch Enterprises,had lodged a complaint with the Haveli police. Pendharkar said Thermo Touch has developed a process to prevent rusting,thus increasing the life of spare parts and machines made of iron. He said the company also acquired the patent for this process on December 1,2006 ,with a validity of 20 years. Pendharkar had prepared 25 files containing information about the patented process.

According to the police,when Kamble was working as a supervisor with Thermo Touch,Pendharkar shared with him the information about the patented process. But Kamble left the job and joined another company as CEO. He then allegedly stole and misused the process,police said.
