Campaign undertaken

Eaton Corporation have introduced a programme which includes clinical,counselling and outreach services to truck drivers in the city. The programme has been implemented in Wagholi,Hadapsar,Maldhakka,Nashik highway,Kolhapur highway,Hyderabad highway & Mumbai Highway. The project provides quality healthcare and counselling to truck drivers in the form of clinics which are strategically located in and around high-trucking zones as well as a fully equipped mobile awareness vehicle. A condom distribution drive is also a part of the programme to create awareness about HIV. The services have proven beneficial for over 20,000 truck drivers and their families.

Student Felicitated

Swapnil Manmohan Mishra,a second year BBA student of Kaveri College of Science and Commerce (KCSC),was recently felicitated by S.B. Kharosekar,principal,KCSC and Anand Buddhikot,Program Officer,NSS Cell for his commendable work as a volunteer during the Ganpati festival from September 20-29. Mishra was a volunteer at the ‘Police Mitra’ programme where he was given the duty of controlling traffic and public during the ten-day festival. He was appreciated for being on duty for 30 hours at a stretch during the visarjan day at Khandojibaba chowk,Deccan.
