Mohan Nair,Director of Ensigns Health Care Pvt Ltd,Pune,was selected as the chairman of the Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM) at the annual general meeting of the institute held recently. The Indian Institute of Materials Management is the premier professional Institute of Materials Management in India. IIMM has network of 45 branches and 19 chapters. IIMM is dedicated to the professional activities including executive development programmes,seminars,workshops,and in-house training programmes and consultancy. The other office-bearers elected for the year 2011 – 2013 include vice-chairman Datta Kenjale,secretary Terrence Fernandes,treasurer Mihir Paramane,national councillor Shrivardhan Gadgil and Vijay Laghate.

Bharat Forge registers strong growth

Bharat Forge in its first quarter results recently announced the combined and standalone revenue at Rs 1,583.2 crores and Rs 872.4 crore respectively. Standalone Indian operation of the company registered a strong growth with total income growth by 36.3 per cent to Rs 872.4 crore and increase in profit after tax (PAT) by 64 per cent to Rs 97.4 crore. The EBITDA margin for the quarter was at 25.6 per cent and the domestic revenue grew by 18.6 per cent over the same period previous year to Rs 476 crore. The exports of the company witnessed strong growth of 67.1 per cent to Rs 381 crore over the same period previous year. The growth was both in automotive and non automotive segments,company said. B N Kalyani,Chairman and Managing Director said,“The quarter results show strong all round performance.”

Xerox India organises road show

Xerox India rolled out its multi-city road show programmme in the city last week. The two-day programme was attended by over 100 customers. During the road show hands on experience was provided to the customers who were also given the information on drivers of productivity,making savings on the office printing expenditure,better management of printing assets and optimisation of resources. Vipin Tuteja,executive director,technology,channels and international business,Xerox India said,“Xerox has changed a lot over the last few years. We are delivering high quality technology that enables our customers to achieve better productivity and saving.”

Rukari Vishweshwar Sahakari Bank chairman

Suniel Rukari has been elected as a Chairman of the Vishweshwar Sahakari Bank while Amol Maniyar is the new vice-chairman. Suniel Rukari is a progressive agriculturist associated with a number of voluntary organisations. The election came after the bank recently declared 12 per cent dividend.
