* Enjoy your evening with the cocktail theatre play Brief Candle. Written and directed by Lilette Dubey and Mahesh Dattani,the play will be staged on July 22 at Grand Ball Room,Corianthians Club from 8 to 9.45 pm.
* Drop in at Balgandharva Rangamandir and enjoy a musical evening with the German musical play Line1. City-based amateur theatre group Bunte Bühne,led by Abhiraj Purandare,Neha Pusalkar and Dusmanta Chakra will premier the play on July 22,5 pm onwards. Also,the Marathi version of the play will be staged on July 18 at Sneha Sadan,5.30 pm onwards.

* Get drenched in the flavour of the monsoon at the All-India monsoon music festival,Barkha Ritu. The concert features performances by world music greats ace vocalist Pt Chhannulal and sarod maestro Padma Vibhushan Pt Shivkumar Sharma. Barkha Ritu will be held on July 17 at Yeshwantrao Chavan Auditorium at 6.30 pm.
* Enjoy a concert in a series of Rohini Bhate Smriti-Suman Malika as a tribute to Guru Rohini Bhate organised by Udgaar,a branch of Nrityabharati Kathak Dance Academy . The concert features a Kathak recital by Pt Rajendra Gangani,Guru of the Jaipur Gharana. The programme will be held on July 19 at Tilak Smarak Mandir,9.30 pm onwards. Tickets are priced at Rs 100 and Rs 50.
* Treat your musical senses at a Hindustani classical vocal recital by Shrinivas Joshi,who will be performing on July 19 at Swarmayee Gurukul Premises,Opp Sambhaji Park,JM Road,6 pm onwards.
Workshop
* Hone your acting skills at an acting workshop organised by Swatantra Theatre,a city-based amateur theatre group,for aspiring actors at Sri Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya from July 11. The duration of the workshop is 21 days for regular students and three months for students interested in attending classes on weekends.
