BJP leader assaulted in Talegaon

Police said the incident took place between 10.30 am and 11 am at Shelke’s office.

Sachin Shelke,the president of Talegaon Dabhade unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP),was assaulted with sharp weapons on Thursday.

Police said the incident took place between 10.30 am and 11 am at Shelke’s office.

“We have registered an offence of attempt to murder and extortion against Shyam Dabhade and his accomplices,” said Vinayak Dhakne,Deputy Superintendent of Police. Police said the attackers also injured Shelke’s father and his two brothers. “Police is probing the case,” added Dhakne.
