Bhaubeej Celebration

On Friday,the Sainath Mandal Trust celebrated Bhaubeej with inmates of the Girls Observation Home at Navi Peth. The festival celebrates the brother-sister bond and the trust has been spreading joy to the inmates of the observation home for the last three years. They visited the home along with lots of gifts,sweets and crackers. The trust members were felicitated by the girls and they in turn gave return gifts to them. A one-day training programme was conducted for the 90 members of the home a day prior to Bhaubeej. They were taught how to do rangoli designs and paint diyas. Piyush Shah,trustee,Sainath Mandal trust,said,“This is the fourth year that we are celebrating Diwali here. It gives us immense satisfaction of doing something good for society.”
