South Zones A Prasad defeated West Zones Sriram Prabhune on Thursday at the DGQA Interzonal Badminton championships,presently on at Ordnance Factory Club.
Prasad beat Prabhune 21-13,21-9 in the doubles,while P Suresh and K Mahesh of the South Zone beat Anil Verma and Kurian Raphy of the West Zone 21-10 21-19.
In the Open Singles semi-finals,Manoj Bali of the Central Zone beat Mange Ram of the North Zone 22-20,21-8 and A Prasad of South Zone beat P Suresh,also of South Zone,21-19,19-21. In the Open Doubles Semi-finals,Bali and Partho Bose (Central Zone) beat P Suresh and A Prasad (South Zone) 21-13,21-14; Glen DCruz and Kurian Raphy (West Zone) beat R Edjer and Mangi Ram ( North Zone) 21-7,21-17.
