After a long wait,Pune University BA results,for Second Year (SY) and Third Year (TY),will be announced on Friday.Owing to the delay in BA results,admission to MA courses have also been delayed this year.
Usually results are out in the first or second week of June. MA aspirants and institutes offering MA courses in the city were confused about the post graduate admissions as the process can only be started after announcement of the BA results. BA results of other univesities in the state have already been declared and students from these universities who want apply for MA in Pune university have been making enquiries at various institutes in the city.
Dr S G Gupta,Principal of Abasaheb Garware College said,Every year Third year BA results are out by June 15. After completion of admission process we start classes by July 1,but this year due to delay in declaration of results we couldn’t start admission process. We will immediately start the process from July 2 and would start classes by July 15. It seems we will have to conduct some extra classes to make up for the lost time. Controller of Exams,UoP,S M Ahire said,The delay is not our fault as the examinations were conducted late. BA exams are held after finishing B Com and B Sc exams hence we always announce BA results after this two results are announced.
