Austrian business panel visits city

The interaction was organised by Mahratta Chamber of Commerce,Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA).

Representatives of Austrian companies such as Bohler International,Senoplast and Megatech Ind,which are involved in manufacturing as varied as wheel covers,plastic sheets for car ceilings,carbide rods and protection strips of tyres were present.

“The automotive sector here is booming. Around 90 Austrian companies have a presence across India. We are hoping to establish strong trade relations here,” said Hoertnagl.

Ajay Mehta,chairman,International Business and Relations Committee,MCCIA,said,“Our city today is globally competent. We have a safe working and living environment here. Pune’s proximity to Mumbai and good international air connectivity are also advantages.”

The interaction proved useful to businessmen and industry professionals from the city too. People from the city got an opportunity to have a one-to-one interaction with the representatives of the companies.

Manoj Malu,a businessman said,“This kind of an interaction will prove useful as we got to meet people from top companies. It will help us explore business opportunities with professionals belonging to global companies . The feedback from these individuals will be helpful too.”
