The allowed to keep term (ATKT) scheme of the state government received poor response in the city as only 2,038 students confirmed their admissions,leaving 3,964 seats vacant.
The education department was expecting over 7,000 applications for the scheme. While 1,119 students opted for arts,837 students went for the commerce stream,and 82 takers for science.
According to the statistics provided by the education department,there are 1,565 vacant seats in science,1328 seats in arts and 1071 in commerce stream. There is still one chance for the students who have not confirmed their admissions. On October 14,we will display the information of vacant seats available in S P College.
The students should contact the principals concerned , said Sunil Magar,deputy director of Pune division of education department.
