Aeromodels steal the show

Over 150 aeromodels,including that of the Chinese fighter aircraft scale model J-10,are on display at the seventh edition of the annual international aeromodellers.

Over 150 aeromodels,including that of the Chinese fighter aircraft scale model J-10,are on display at the seventh edition of the annual international aeromodellers meet at Aamby Valley airport. Organised by the Wings India Radio Controlled Model Club,the four-day event has seen so far over 4,000 spectators,with 140 participants.

On Saturday,international award-winning aeromodellers from Germany,Italy,UAE and Thailand made their presence felt. “We organise this competition every year to promote,protect and encourage aero modelling. We try to bring together Indian fliers and the international fraternity along with good machinery and excellent skills,” said Umesh More,chairman,Wings India,

The show saw performances by Umesh More,Captain Chaitanya Makhija,Nandan Chandarvarkar,Anurag Saraf,Wasi Ansari and Yogendra Jahangirdar Among the highlights was a performance by Param Rajesh Patel,10,of Surat,Gujarat.
