Accused who jumped custody held

Sumit Keshav Rane alias Bhikaji Bhutkar of Ratnagiri is an accused in a Rs 2.5 lakh cheating case registered at Shivajinagar police station.

A 47-year-old man,who had fled from police custody on Friday morning while he was being taken to Mumbai for investigations,was arrested by officers of economic offences wing of Pune police on Sunday. Sumit Keshav Rane alias Bhikaji Bhutkar of Ratnagiri is an accused in a Rs 2.5 lakh cheating case registered at Shivajinagar police station.

Chatushrungi police had registered a case in this regard. A team of investigators from economic offences wing led by inspector Ramchandra Dhage nabbed Rane,said a press release from Pune police.

New fungicide launched
