A tribute to Pancham

A group of R D Burman fans will pay tribute to the legendary music director on his 73rd birth anniversary,on 26th June,in Pune. Organised by Pancham Creations and Studio 5,the programme includes live performances such as dances and musical demos. R D Burman’s songs will be covered by 15 artists who will also discuss how the songs were made. The group of musicians performing on Tuesday include Amritrao Katkar,a percussionist who has also performed with R D Burman in the past,Jitendra Bhuruk,Prashant Naseri,Narendra Dole,Reshmi Mukherjee and Rupali Ghogare. They will be performing songs composed by Burman,such as ‘Chunari sambhal gori’,Ek chatur naar’,’Lekar hum’ and Hume tumse pyar kitna’ and more. Shri Brahmanand Singh,who made a National Award winning documentary on R D Burman will also be pay his tribute at the event. The event will take place at Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagriha at 9.30 pm.
