A lasting legacy

Recently,it played host to a food festival,where a lavish spread was laid out,to the accompaniment of live music. There was a choice of Chicken Tikka,Reshmi Kebab,Hazari Kebab,Pahadi Ke Tukrey,Prawns Koliwada and Spicy Chicken Wings for the non-vegetarians. For vegetarians,the spread ranged from Veg Garlic Ball,Paneer Tikka,Tandoori Aloo,Moti Seekh,Tandoori Mushroom and Stuffed Masala Papad. “We have a whole range of biryanis,prepared with the traditional dum technique. There’s a choice of Chicken Dum Biryani,Kachche Gosht Ki Biryani,Chicken Hyderabadi Biryani,Fish Nawabi Biryani and Veg Dum Biryani,” says Anish Bhanwadia,director,Legacy.

With an ambience done up keeping in mind the discerning tastes of well-travelled Pune foodies,Legacy has a terrace area and an indoor seating space for guests. “We’ve kept the décor subdued and understated and at the same time,elegant and tasteful. The lighting has been deliberately kept dim and warm and each of the artifacts you’d find here has been created exclusively for the restaurant,” adds Bhanwadia.

As elaborate and delicious as the starters and the main course is the choice of raita and roti here. There’s the choice of Mixed Veg,Pineapple,Boondi,Moti and Aloo Jeera Raita and Chicken Tikka Naan for the adventurous,plus the standard Butter Naan and Garlic Naan for vegetarians. To finish off the meal in style,you can sample desserts such as Gajar Ka Halwa,Gulab Jamun,Malai Kulfi and Vanilla with Hot Chocolate.

This is one legacy of food,you’ll carry back home with a lot of fondness and satiated taste buds.
