A Birthday to Remember

‘Baat Pashmine Ki’ will be different from the conventional musical gatherings that happen in the city. The show,directed by Milind Oak,director of Niche Entertainment,will witness something out-of-the-box. At its 75th performance at Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagruha on August 18,this show will let audiences glance through lyricist Gulzar’s masterpieces. Incidentally,Gulzar too will celebrate his 75th birthday on August 18. Audio-visual clips of his songs will play in the background,while singers Swarada Godbole,Jitendra Abhyankar,Hrishikesh Ranade and Vibhavari Joshi,will sing on stage. Scenes from his films like Aandhi,Ijazat and Mausam will be screened as well. Excerpts from his poetry will be recited by Kishore Kadam,Sachin Khedekar,Anand Ingale and Pournima Manohar.
