8-yr-old boy sodomised in Chinchwad

He allegedly tied the 11-year-old to a tree and sodomised the eight-year-old ,about a km from the fence of the company. The boy shouted for help attracting the attention of a watchman on duty who rushed to help,police said.

The suspect fled on seeing the watchman. The watchman took the boys to Mohan Nagar police chowki,and the boys narrated the incident to the police.

The boys were taken to YCM Hospital. The 11-year-old was discharged after treatment. The eight-year-old was shifted to Sassoon Hospital.

He was shifted to YMCH again. Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Asheesh Sharma said the boy would be given further treatment at YCMH. “When I was approached for help for treatment of the boy,I enquired with Sassoon Hospital and found he was discharged against medical advice. The parents are apparently not in a position to get him treated. We will do whatever we can,” he said.

Police said the boys are from poor families and their parents are labourers. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone III) Dnyaneshwar Chavan and assistant commissioner Sudhir Chougule spoke to the boys and their families.

A team led by senior inspector Mahesh Joshi went to the spot along with the 11-year-old. The dog squad was called.

“Medical reports confirmed that the eight-year-old was sodomised. The boy is in shock and under treatment. We have got sketches of the suspect made,” said police inspector Sunil Yadav of Chinchwad police station,who is investigating the case.
