7-star St Vincent’s School blow away Vidya Bhawan

SSPMS (Boarding) won two out of their three matches on the fourth day of the Loyola Invitational Football Cup 2013. The tournament is being jointly organised by Loyola High School and Ex Loyola Alumni (ELAN).

SSPMS (Boarding) won two out of their three matches on the fourth day of the Loyola Invitational Football Cup 2013. The tournament is being jointly organised by Loyola High School and Ex Loyola Alumni (ELAN).

In the under-12 category,St Vincent’s School hammered seven goals past a shell-shocked Vidya Bhawan School outfit. Arian Addam was the star for St Vincent’s as he smashed home a hattrick. Raunak Nagul added a brace while Renit Magar and Vian Murgod chipped in with a goal each. In another match in the same category,SSPMS (Boarding) endured a goalless draw with a spirited Gurukul side with strikers from both sides going close but not finding the final finishing touch.

In the under-14 category,SSPMS (Boarding) beat Gurukul High School,2-0 with Dinesh Shinde and Omkar Patil scoring a goal each. Both goals came in the space of two minutes with Shinde scoring in the second minute and Patil hammering home in the fourth.

In the under-16 category,a dominant SSPMS (Boarding) side brushed past Gurukul High School 4-0. Shaunak Tandel opened the scoring for SSPMS in the third minute before Vikram Chopade swept the second in at the quarter-mark. Moreshwar Patil added the third in the second half and R Waghmare rounded off the victory,adding SSPMS’ fourth in the 57th minute.
