6.4 mm rain lashes Pune

Pune city continued to experience monsoon showers on Monday,registering 6.4 mm rainfall.

This is the third highest rainfall this month with the Met department recording 17.2 mm and 9.4 mm rains on September 1 and 5,respectively.

According to the department,the withdrawal of monsoon should happen only after September 15. At present,Punes seasonal rainfall is 355.8 mm and the city is deficient by 108.5 mm rainfall.

While the four dams supplying water to the city have recorded 26.51 TMC (90.93 per cent),the region continues to receive rainfall.
