EARLIER this month,Only Much Louder (OML) announced the dates of the NH7 Weekender for the annual music festival’s Delhi and Bangalore outings. Surprisingly,they hadn’t made any announcement about the Pune edition,where the festival witnessed massive success for two consecutive years. Vijay Nair,Founder,OML,released a statement on their Facebook page saying,“Since last year’s site was limiting in terms of size,we thought it would be best to host it in Delhi and Bangalore where we have some of India’s best live venues.” Within hours,the page had messages from thousands of angry fans demanding the festival be brought back to Pune. On August 14,Nair released another statement saying the delay in announcing Pune was a prank and that Weekender “belongs to the city of Pune”. The final dates for the festival are October 13-14 in Delhi,November 2-4 in Pune and December 15-16 in Bangalore.
