The Bombay High Court has sought replies from various authorities,following a PIL alleging that redevelopment work at Wankhede Stadium was being carried out by the Mumbai Cricket Association flouting norms.
The Ministry of Environment and Forests has been asked to reply on how a green belt can be created around the stadium and also on the FSI consumption. BMC has been asked to give a report on constructions carried out in the stadium since 1991,the year the CRZ notification came into effect. Several judges had on Thursday inspected the work at the stadium,following the PIL filed by a city resident,Amit Maru.
