Van rams into bike,student killed

A college student was killed and another suffered severe injuries when a van rammed into their bike near Oberoi Mall on Thursday afternoon. According to the Goregoan (east) police,while Nayan Anderkar (23),who was riding the pillion,died soon after the incident and his friend,Sameer Ahire (20) suffered bruises on his body. The police arrested Dinesh Yadav (30),the driver of the van,for rash and negligent driving.

“The deceased,Anderkar,was residing at Shankarwadi in Jogeshwari. We are investigating if Yadav was under the influence of alcohol,” said a police officer.
