Two of three who fled Borivali lockup nabbed

Two of the three undertrials who had fled from the Borivali court lockup on Monday were arrested on Thursday by the special squad prepared by Deputy Commissioner of Police (zone 11) Mahesh Patil. Four police teams had been formed to trace the three accused,identified as Rizwan Noor Mohamed Mansoori,Ritesh Rajbhar and Jitesh Dusangi.

The police received a tip off that two of the men were seen in Ghatkopar. Rajbhar and Dusangi have been sent to judicial custody in Thane jail. Rizwan Noor Mohamed Mansoori is missing,said the police. The Charkop police had arrested Mansoori in connection with chain snatching cases. He has also been sent to judicial custody in Thane. “We received a tip off that Rajbhar and Dusangi were at the residence of a friend in Ghatkopar. We arrested the duo from there on Thursday,” said Patil.

MCOCA on ‘Pandav Putra gang’ men

The DB Marg police have invoked MCOCA charges against three alleged members of the Pandav Putra Gang who were arrested on March 16.

The arrested men— Bhavijya alias Lakshman Krishna Karan,Hasan Sarovar Shaikh and Javed Shaikh— had gone to extort money from owner of Rohan Bar and Restaurant at Kumbharwadai. ens
