Two persons were killed when a compound wall of an open plot collapsed following incessant rains in the city on Sunday, a senior civic official said.
“A compound wall on Ratan Tata road near Parsi colony in Tardeo area of south Mumbai collapsed this morning in which
two persons were killed,” a senior official of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) told reporters.
The fire brigade team rushed to the spot and pulled out another person from the rubble who sustained grievous injuries
and is being treated at Nair hospital, he said.
The deceased, yet to be identified, were in the age group of 25-35 years, he said. Meanwhile, four persons were killed in separate incidents after three different structures collapsed in the city during yesterday’s heavy downpour, as per MCGM records.
