Train runs over man crossing railway tracks

A 35-year-old died while crossing railway tracks on Wednesday afternoon. No one has come forward to claim the body of the man who was run over by a Belapur-bound train from CST between Sanpada and Juinagar stations on trans Harbour line around 2.40 pm.

The railway police said the man was talking on the phone while crossing the tracks. Tukaram Chavan,Commissioner,Railway police,said,“His body is still unclaimed. He was wearing a ring in his right hand. He also has a cobra tattoo on his right arm. Police has sent the information to various police stations for his identification.”

Police could not trace his mobile yet. According to the police,either someone might have stolen it from the tracks or if fell at a far away location.
