Tandel,Pandey score

Striking once in each half,Rising Star tamed Kesar Residency 2-0 in a Division III match of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) League at the St Xaviers ground,Parel on Wednesday.

Dictating terms from the outset,Rising Star took the lead through Nikhil Tandels early goal in the first half. They then took the match away from their rivals when Ankit Pandey found the back of the net to double the lead immediately after the teams switched ends.

Starkem Pharma also found success to pocket all the three points as they managed to pull off a narrow 2-1 victory over AKYSD South Mumbai. Umesh Perambara got the first goal and Pratik Patel the second for the winners. Alyque Virzee netted the lone goal for the losers.
