A security man stands guard at CST Tuesday,following a terror alert. Security was beefed up at all Central Railway stations,particularly CST,Kurla (and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus) and Dadar

HEAVY DEPLOYMENT: Forces from both Mumbai Railway Police commissionerate and RPF. 100 RPF personnel at key spots at CST. Between the four stations named,50 personnel from Railway Protection Special Force’s new battalion,says SC Parhi,CR’s senior divisional security commissioner (Mumbai)

CALL FOR MORE: Divisional Railway Manager MC Chauhan wrote to Chief Secretary: “As the Maharashtra government has received information from the Intelligence Bureau about a terrorist attack on CST,Kurla,LTT and Dadar stations,depute some extra force and military at entry points,exit points and foot over bridges of these stations”

THE DRILL: Vehicles scanned,entry points restricted. Outside CST and Churchgate,police vans and bomb disposal squad positioned all day. Joint inspection of CCTV cameras by signalling & telecom department and RPF
