State in touch with Centre on Spain,Thailand arrests: RR

Following the arrest of 10 men from Spain and Thailand for their alleged connection with terror outfits and suspected links with the 26/11 attack.

Following the arrest of 10 men from Spain and Thailand for their alleged connection with terror outfits and suspected links with the 26/11 attack,Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil said they seemed to have links with the Al-Qaeda and the state government was co-ordinating with the Centre. Seven persons were arrested in Barcelona and three from Thailand on Tuesday and Wednesday for their alleged links with outfits like the Al-Qaeda and the Lashkar-e-Toiba. They are alleged to have had a role in the 26/11 attacks too.

“We have not been informed about their connection with 26/11 yet. We have been informed that they seem to have links with the terror outfit Al-Qaeda. The Centre is checking and we are being informed accordingly,” Patil said in Nagpur.
