The Maharashtra government is working on creating an all-inclusive robust cyber security platform, with appointing senior police officers to empower the cell to become the equivalent to a commissionerate, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis told the Assembly on Monday.
Fadnavis was replying to a calling attention motion about the privacy of women and cyber crimes in connection with a case in Dhule, where private photographs of a girl were clicked without her consent and knowledge, and were morphed and sent to her family and friends by her classmate.
Fadnavis said, “…We have a cyber security project, which is underway, and will be activated in the next few months.”
