Changing City: Sewri-Worli connector to ease out 15-20 % traffic from upcoming MTHL sea bridge
The four-lane Sewri-Worli Elevated Connector will facilitate signal-free connectivity to the east and west of Mumbai. The connector is part of the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link and will act as a traffic dispersal system.
The SWEC alignment will also have ROBs near Sewri Railway Station (81.117 metres) and at Elphinston Road Railway Station (132.20 meters). (File) Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has revived plans for the four-lane Sewri-Worli Elevated Connector (SWEC), which will benefit approximately 35,000 motorists daily, once Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) is completed.
