To spread awareness and reach out to a wider audience,the Western Railway has decided to screen slides on hazards of rooftop travelling and trespassing in multiplexes and theatres.
We have made several slides on these issues,and in coordination with the District Collectors of Mumbai (suburban and city) and Thane,we will play them in theatres and multiplexes, said WR chief spokesperson Shyam Sunder Gupta.
The WR has also launched Anmol Jeevan campaign and SMS campaign to spread awareness about safety at unmanned level crossings.
To further this campaign,Western Railway will play the slides in theaters. It is not only an effective mode of communication but also has a wider reach across all the sects of society, added Gupta.
