Saamna says Digvijay,Cong going insane

The Shiv Sena slammed Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh and his party on Monday for “going insane” and making baseless allegations against Hindu outfits. In the editorial comment in its mouthpiece Saamna,the party said Singh and the Congress were capitalising on the martyrdom of slain ATS chief Hemant Karkare “because it is a question of Muslim sentiments”.

Commenting on Singh’s outbursts that Karkare had,in a telephone conversation with him on 26/11,said he was under threat from Hindu extremists,Sena chief Bal Thackeray said,“The greatest threat to Hindustan is not from Pakistanis or Muslims,but from those appeasing Muslims. This was the historic truth stated by my father Prabodhankar (Thackeray) and it is true.”

Criticising Singh for indicating that the RSS was an extremist organisation,the Sena claimed that Singh and the Congress,who did not have the guts to hang Afzal Guru despite his attack on Parliament,were trying to appease Muslims after being trounced in the Bihar Assembly polls.
