Mumbai Police trying to trace X user who posted ‘…bomb at the Ambani wedding’
Though police anticipated it to be a hoax, they did not take any chances and intensified security around the wedding venue, the Jio World Convention Centre, attended by scores of celebrities from across the globe.

Mumbai police officials intensified security cover at the grand wedding of industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant Ambani with Radhika Merchant at Bandra-Kurla Complex on Saturday after Mumbai police were alerted by a netizen regarding a suspicious post on X (formerly Twitter) talking about ‘a bomb at the Ambani wedding.’
Though police anticipated it to be a hoax, they did not take any chances and intensified security around the wedding venue, the Jio World Convention Centre, attended by scores of celebrities from across the globe. Meanwhile, another team of police started the probe and tried to trace the person who posted the suspicious ‘threat’ post.
According to the police sources, on Saturday night, an X user tagged the Mumbai Police handle and informed them about a suspicious post posted by a user named @ffsfir.
The user with the X handle @ffsfir posted, “My mind is wondering shamelessly that half the world would go upside down tomorrow after a b0 m b went off at the Ambani wedding. trillions of dollars in one pin code”
The officials from the Mumbai police web development centre, following an SOP, informed all the concerned senior police officials about the ‘threat message’ and the control room was informed too.
As a precautionary measure, officers handling security at the wedding venue were alerted, and security was intensified, a source said.
The police had already made adequate security arrangements at the venue, as many dignitaries and celebrities from across the globe were slated to attend the function hosted by the richest industrialist in Asia.
No case was registered against any person, and a hunt for the unknown X user is on. The said ‘threat’ post is still not deleted and can be viewed on the microblogging site, a police officer said.
Earlier, a businessman and a YouTuber from Andhra Pradesh were booked on charges of gatecrashing Anant and Radhika’s wedding venue at the Jio World Convention Centre, last week.
Luqman Mohammad Shafi Shaikh and Venkatesh Narsaiah Aluri were detained by the security personnel at the venue, and they were allowed to go after police notices were served to them.
