A passenger of an Istanbul-bound Turkish Airlines flight fell unconscious on board and was later declared dead at Mumbai airport on Monday morning when the flight returned following a medical emergency.
The flight,which took off at 7:08 am,returned to Mumbai airport at 9:08 am after the passenger,Rajendra Singh Dhillon (37),became unconscious.
Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) doctors went on board the aircraft to check the passenger. He was unconscious and his blood pressure was not recordable, said an airport spokesperson.
The passenger was eventually declared dead at 9:50 am and his body was handed over to the Sahar police station officials.
