Pari’s eye surgery in Hyderabad successful

Four-year-old Aparajita Yadav who survived a fall from the 10th floor of a building in Navi Mumbai's Kharghar area last month underwent a successful eye surgery in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Four-year-old Aparajita Yadav who survived a fall from the 10th floor of a building in Navi Mumbai’s Kharghar area last month underwent a successful eye surgery in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Doctors have assured Aparajita’s parents of her full recovery.

Aparajita,fondly known as Pari,fell from the Monarch Orchid apartment on June 11 while she was at the creche.

She suffered fractures in her legs and a few other injuries. She was rushed to MGM Hospital,where she was treated and was later taken to L G Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad for a check-up as she had bled from her eyes. Doctors at the hospital told Pari’s parents that she would have to undergo an operation on her left eye.

“The doctors performed the surgery on Wednesday and they have told us that Pari’s vision will be restored. She has been discharged and the doctors will check her again on Monday,” said Pari’s mother Suman Yadav (32).

Suman said the family will come back to the city on Tuesday. “We will return on Tuesday and will then pursue the matter with police. There was negligence on the part of the creche,” she said.
