The Shaw and Shah Show

This weekend,enjoy some good comedy on stage. Motley is attempting George Bernard Shaw’s satire on war and heroism,Arms and the Man. The revival of the play is being done with the intention of introducing children to Shaw’s exquisite use of words and his genius as a playwright. It is directed by Naseerudin Shah. The cast includes Faezeh Jalali,Ratna Pathak Shah,Randeep Hooda,Saahil Vaid and Shah himself.

Hula Hoop Sundays

If going to the gym,running or other similar methods of exercising don’t appeal to you,there are always other more inventive methods to be found. For instance,hula hooping. Temperance,the cultural hub in Bandra,in association with Hoopnotism,has organised a workshop on Sunday evening that will teach participants the basics of hula hooping,to make exercising a fun activity. The price for this single session workshop is Rs 600.

Male Morale

On Sunday,French photographer Fabien Charuau will present two bodies of work around the theme of sexuality in India. The first work “Send Some Candids” showcases photos he gathered off the internet,which are phone stills taken by voyeurs and eve teasers. The second collection,“The Great Unwashed”,was first shown at Matthieu Foss Gallery in 2010. In this series,the photographer has captured the male body in different situations. The session will be followed by a Q&A with the audience.
