The city’s favourite music event at Mehboob Studio returns this weekend with a line-up that promises variety. To kickstart Live from the Console this evening is the screening of the independent film The Untitled Kartik Krishnan Project,directed by Srinivas Sunderrajan,followed by performances by pop artiste Gayathri,alternative rock band The Koniac Net (in the picture above) and,finally,a performance by indie/pop artiste Nikhil D’Souza.

Mimbai may be starved for space,but for those looking to cultivate kitchen gardens still have plenty of options available. At a workshop,titled “Growing food in plants,organically”,representatives from Green Essentials will take people through the basics of gardening indoors. Priced at Rs 1,000 (materials included),the sessions will cover how to select and prepare pots,managing fruit trees in pots and the basics of growing vegetables at home. Registration is required.
