ONGC and BSNL recorded rather comfortable wins to enter the final of the All India Public Sector T20 cricket tournament,organised by Air India at the MCA-BKC ground on Wednesday. Favorites ONGC continued their superb run in the tournament as they defeated Andhra Bank by 63 runs in the semifinals.
Suhail Sharma was the star of the day for ONGC as he put on a smashing all-round performance. He first scored a quickfire 37 off just 33 balls,including three sixes,before doing the star-turn with the ball,returning figures of 4/11 to bowl out Andhra Bank for just 118,with Mohd Khadir’s 44 the top-score.
Mayank Tehlan also played his role in ONGC’s comfortable win by top-scoring with a 25-ball 38 earlier in the day.
