Mumbai University issues warning against fake marksheet offers
As per information shared by MU, it was alerted by a Pune resident who saw an advertisement on Facebook that said he would get Mumbai University degree at home in one day for Rs 10,000 to 12,000.

The Mumbai University (MU) administration has swung into action after being alerted about advertisements on social media claiming to provide MU marksheet at home for payment of Rs 10,000-Rs 20,000. Appealing to individuals to be cautious of such frauds with fake marksheets, the MU issued a statement on Wednesday informing that it is going to approach police with a complaint.
As per information shared by MU, it was alerted by a Pune resident who saw an advertisement on Facebook that said he would get Mumbai University degree at home in one day for Rs 10,000 to 12,000. After contacting the number given in the advertisement, the individual was asked for advance payment of Rs 2,000 following which a BSc semester VI marksheet was sent through WhatsApp.
“The purported marksheet of BSc Semester VI, dated April 6, 2024 according to Mumbai University, is a fake document created using photoshop or other tools and is signed by the previous director of examination,” read the varsity statement issued on Wednesday evening which also appealed to individuals to beware of such fake marksheets and degree givers.
