For this work, around 2,525 local train services will be cancelled from October 27 (Friday) to November 6 (Monday), as per the Railways.
The project is expected to benefit local train commuters by improving punctuality and augment additional train services in the near future.
“The block has been meticulously planned so as to ensure minimum disruption to rail traffic, as well as least inconvenience to passengers,” mentions the official release issued by its Public Relations Office.
For the non-interlocking work in connection with the construction of the sixth line which will commence from October 26-27 till November 5, some of the suburban trains will remain cancelled.
